Don Bosco Catholic Church Kalyani

Don Bosco Catholic Church at Gayeshpur Check Post, Anandnagar P.O., Kalyani was begun in 1979. The current church building was constructed in 1992 with the assistance of Don Bosco Alumnus and Italian Industrialist Chevalier Giovanni Arvedi. This parish run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, Kolkata province is under Krishnagar diocese.

Religious communities residing in the parish territory include Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), Sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI), Holy Family Sisters (CHF), Missionaries of Charity Brothers (MC) and Salesians of Don Bosco who run the parish and Youth Centre.

Besides the main church at Kalyani, the parish has substations at Madanpur, Narayanpur and Nagagrah cared for by Catechist and Sisters. Every Sunday and major feast days, Holy Eucharist is celebrated also at the sub-stations.
